Project Overview
This duplex renovation and extension project on the Gold Coast, Oxenford involved the transformation of an existing structure to maximise space, modernise a dated home, and enhance functionality and aesthetic appeal.
Our focus was to elevate the property while allowing a family to live in the house during the entire three-month construction period.
Duplex house elevation:
- Replaced the sagging ceiling with a new structure to ensure safety and improve visual appeal.
- Installed parquet flooring made from a robust 14 mm thick board, adding elegance and durability to the living space.
Duplex extension:
- Transformed a portion of the garage into a third bedroom, optimising the use of space to accommodate family needs.
- Extended the kitchen and laundry area by using the remaining garage space, integrating modern conveniences with design.
Upgraded amenities:
- Renovated the bathroom and toilet to feature contemporary fixtures and fittings.
- Installed brand-new kitchen and laundry closets, complemented by custom-made concrete countertops, providing both style and functionality.
Exterior enhancements
- Levelled the side yard to construct a well-designed carport capable of housing four cars, enhancing both utility and property value.
- Completed comprehensive landscaping tasks, including building retaining walls and garden beds, to create an inviting outdoor environment.
