Project Overview
Situated on the beautiful Gold Coast, this apartment renovation presented an exciting opportunity to transform a dated residence into a modern and inviting space. We aimed to enhance both functionality and aesthetics while conforming to strata renovation rules.
Textured ceilings update
- Removed dated textured ceilings without disrupting the plasterboard.
- Skimcoated the ceiling to make it look 100% flat like plaster enhancing the interior’s appearance and reflecting more light.
Windows replacement
- The original windows had a concrete hob taking up significant floor space. We replaced the windows and built a sleeker concrete hob underneath, optimising space and aesthetics.
- A temporary balcony barrier was installed to ensure safety and compliance throughout the renovation process.
Upgraded amenities
- Redesigned and upgraded the kitchen area, maximising countertop functionality with modern cabinets and appliances.
- Renovated two bathrooms and the laundry room, creating functional and spacious areas. The addition of copper-coloured fixtures added a fine touch to these essential spaces.
Aesthetic remodelling
- Collaborated with a designer to enhance the newly renovated spaces. The designer suggested installing a ceiling box across rooms, which helpfully concealed functional elements and elevated the apartment’s overall design.
- We crafted a bulkhead with “lip” to accommodate an LED strip light around the perimeter, transforming the rooms into cosier and brighter spaces.
